The Cassini Imaging Team marks the end of the spacecraft's primary mission, and the start of its first mission extension, with the release of two beautiful color views of Saturn. The spacecraft entered Saturn orbit on June 30, 2004 and has spent the past four years among its rings and icy moons.

On July 1, 2008, Cassini officially begins its "Equinox Mission," a two-year tour of Saturn that will focus on the exploration of Titan and Enceladus and continued examination of Saturn's rings, atmosphere and magnetosphere as the planet passes through its August 2009 northern vernal equinox.
